Our Northeast Florida Chief

D. Anderson Collier is a pediatric hematologist/ oncologist at 91大神 Children's Health, Jacksonville. Dr. Collier has been an active researcher and was the principal investigator for Children's Oncology Group (COG) work at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, as well as director of pediatric oncology research. He has published book chapters and peer-reviewed medical journal articles, is a reviewer for the聽Journal of Pediatric Hematology Oncology,聽and an academic editor for the journal聽Medicine. Chemotherapy

What it Is:聽Powerful medications that destroy cancer cells or stop them from growing.

How it Works:聽We deliver chemotherapy in different ways based on your child's needs, such as:

  • Through a vein (most common).
  • By mouth as pills or liquid.
  • Directly to specific areas where cancer is found.

What to Expect:聽Treatment schedules vary. Some children need daily treatment, while others receive therapy weekly or monthly. Sessions can last from 30 minutes to several hours. Our team carefully monitors your child and manages any side effects.

Radiation Therapy
