Depending on the specific plan of care, your patient may be admitted to the Emergency Department of 91大神 Children鈥檚 Hospital, Delaware or directly to the most appropriate inpatient care unit (such as surgery, neurology, oncology, cardiology and rehabilitation).
Patients may also be admitted to the:
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Patients may be transferred to the NCH Emergency Department, which includes round-the-clock access to pediatric specialists as well as advanced imaging capabilities. Patients may be admitted directly to the most appropriate inpatient care unit (such as surgery, neurology, oncology, cardiology, and rehabilitation), to our听Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or to our听Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)听inpatient rooms.
