Get to Know Me

I was born in Bermuda to Jamaican parents and raised and educated in the United States. Atlanta is my hometown, but Florida has become my second home. Gastroenterology gives me the opportunity to treat acute problems, such as vomiting, diarrhea and belly pain, as well as chronic conditions like Crohn鈥檚 disease and celiac diseases.

Why I Treat Children

Pediatrics gives me hope. The kids I meet are very resilient. I feel like I can make a difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

What I'm Passionate About

I鈥檓 passionate about nutrition. It is personally satisfying to help children who are underweight get to a good place. I also care deeply about the welfare of children living with celiac disease. I try hard to help them and their families understand the gluten-free diet and navigate around lifestyle obstacles that can make it hard to follow.

How I Try to Make A Difference

I try to make a difference by looking at the 鈥渂ig picture鈥 well-being of a child, not just their specific GI disease. To be effective, I have to take the family situation into account. It鈥檚 important to always consider the total health of a child.
