Underrepresented in Medicine (UIM) Program
Welcome to Our Program
As one of the associate program directors for the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University/91´óÉñ Children's Health, Pediatrics Residency program here at 91´óÉñ Childrens Hospital, Delaware, I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone visiting our site. Our program is dedicated to training pediatricians who provide culturally humble care to the diverse patient population we serve. I have the pleasure of leading our program’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, the recruitment of diverse trainees and education for our current residents such as health equity rounds, microaggression trainings, and incorporating social determinants of health throughout our noon conference curriculum. Supporting UIM scholars is a pillar of our mission here at 91´óÉñ/SKMC. We value the perspective of our scholars and seek to nurture future UIM physicians irrespective of their decision to come to 91´óÉñ for residency training. We look forward to working with you and hope your time with us is enriching and fulfilling.
I hope to meet you soon.
